The BBMAK Base
Have BBMak Over For Thanksgiving
By Jim Keller for CDNOW.COM
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade seems to be the place to be Nov.
23. Riding atop various floats will be pop acts BBMak, Aaron Carter,
the Corrs, Jessica Simpson, Mikaila, and Innosense; country stars Jo
Dee Messina, Kenny Chesney, Sara Evans, and Jennifer Day; Latin
artist Tito Puente Jr.; and Broadway star Andrea McArdle and the
casts of The Music Man and Seussical the Musical. For those who can't
make it to New York to watch the event live, it is scheduled to air
on NBC on Thanksgiving Day starting at 9 a.m. in all time zones.
BBMak Rocks Out On Halloween
From SEVENTEEN.COM
The lucky fans at New York City's Irving Plaza last night got more
than their fair share of treats when BBMak rocked the stage for
Halloween. Arriving in monster masks (thank goodness they didn't
leave them on long!), adorable Brits Mark, Christian and Ste totally
pumped up the crowds with songs from their album, Sooner or Later.
The clean-cut, dimpled cuties wore jeans (shy Ste had on a sexy
cowboy hat) and strummed their guitars, but were far from boring as
they got the whole audience to sing their hit "Back Here Baby."
Their amazing live sound was particularly clear as they harmonized
on "More Than Words," an Extreme song from the early '90s. Among
other tunes, the trio also played their new single, "Still On Your
Side" (that they said they just made a video for; look for MTV's
Making the Video in late November). The concert took an unpredictable
turn when Mark whipped out his bagpipes for a musical interlude, and
Christian and Ste -- who often joke that unlike BSB, they can't dance
at all -- started jamming toward each other a la Riverdance. Mark
also got to play his "shiny flute" for everyone. After the encore,
the festive boys flashed their 1000-watt smiles one last time and
threw handfuls of candy into the crowd. As if their performance
wasn't sweet enough!
